Volunteer
There are a variety of ways you can help us to make our community violence free that best suit your passion, skills, and schedule.
Listen to Lakes 101.5 host Heather Bishop interview our Board of Directors Chair, Beth Dodge, about New Beginnings, our charity gala, and how to get involved!
Crisis Line Advocate
The Crisis Line is a 24/7 service for those experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or stalking which provides support and answers questions the callers may have. As a volunteer advocate, you will answer these calls and provide a listening ear to those who need someone to just listen to their story and provide them with options. Volunteers will occasionally accompany callers to the hospital when necessary.
Community Engagement Assistant
This position will assist New Beginnings in creating and maintaining community relationships. By keeping community service providers up-to date with the services New Beginnings provides, along with gathering information from other community organizations, New Beginnings will be able to more efficiently provide services and refer our clients to other organizations as needed.
Event Volunteer
This position will help with the planning, set-up, and breakdown of events. These positions will typically be split into shifts with the purpose of doing specific jobs that allow the event to run smoothly.
We do not currently have any event volunteer openings. If you are interested in volunteering at a New Beginnings event in the future, please contact us and we will reach out when an opportunity arises.
Material Goods Organizer
If you enjoy and are skilled at organizing we need your help! One of the services at New Beginnings is providing material goods to those we assist. Having our material goods sorted and organized in a way that advocates can easily find what they need will create a better experience for those we serve.
