Direct Service Advocate

Job type: Full-Time

The Direct Service Advocate provides a full range of services to those whose lives have been affected by domestic and sexual violence in Belknap County, including crisis intervention and support, ongoing case management, and referrals to community resources. Primary job functions will be performed at New Beginnings’ office in Laconia, NH. The employee must have access to reliable transportation to and from work. Occasional travel may be required throughout New Hampshire as necessary.

Sadie’s Place Advocate

Job type: Full-Time

Sadie's Place provides transitional housing for up to 24 months for survivors of violence and abuse to gain the skills required to live independently and securely in our community. New Beginnings advocates work with Sadie's Place residents to ensure they have access to healthcare, counseling, mental health services, child care, and other necessary services. 

The Sadie's Place Advocate is responsible for assessing, arranging, and advocating for services and resources to address the needs of individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, under the guidance of the Program Manager. The Advocate will help residents find the resources they need to reduce the risk of future abuse by using a strength-based, survivor-driven, and trauma-informed approach.

Crisis Response Advocate

Job type: per diem

The Crisis Response Advocate provides crisis intervention and support, accompaniment, and referrals to community resources for those whose lives have been affected by domestic and sexual violence in Belknap County; as well as to those seeking services through the agency’s 24-hour support line. Primary job functions will be performed remotely using the employee’s personal phone. Occasional travel may be required throughout New Hampshire as necessary. Each per diem position is responsible for up to 15 24-hour shifts per month.

Prevention Educator

Job type: Part-time

The Prevention Educator provides prevention and outreach interventions in Belknap County with a focus on primary prevention through educational programs to community members, schools, and organizations. The overall objective of the Prevention Educator is to stimulate change related to violence prevention through education and advocacy.
